The 1689 - God is Most Absolute

Our Sunday School series studying the 1689 London Baptist Confession continues to progress through chapter 2 section 1.  This morning Pastor Joshua leads our discussion of the fact that God is the absolute standard for all truth, eternal and unchanging in his nature, infinite and perfect in his holiness, wisdom, and freedom.

The relevant section of the Confession teaches that God is "immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, every way infinite, most holy, most wise, most free, most absolute."  The modern-English version of the Confession reads: "He is unchangeable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, in every way infinite, absolutely holy, perfectly wise, wholly free, completely absolute."
